Quai d’Orsay No. 54 is a refined, light Cuban with a very creamy, elegant profile. You typically get a base of sweet cedar, light toast and soft hay, layered with honey, vanilla and pastry-like sweetness. There’s often a gentle citrus touch (orange peel or lemon cream) and a bit of floral character, especially in the first half. As it develops, the smoke becomes smoother and a little richer, adding nuts, café au lait and a soft white pepper on the finish, while always staying rounded, silky and easy-going on the palate.
